Below are our fees for the 2025-2026 season.
Our competitive memberships tend to be a bit higher than some other clubs because at South Brighton we cover the cost of entry to carnivals/competitions rather than passing this on to members. This can add up significantly over the season - for context, entry fees vary from $20 - $120 per carnival/competition and would otherwise cost members an additional $120 - $240 each year.

Junior Surf Membership $70 - $150
U6-U7: $70
Children in this age group can't compete in carnivals yet. For them it's all about taking part in junior surf on Sundays to make new friends, learn about water safety and develop a lifelong love of the beach!
U8-U14: $150
As well as participating in junior surf on Sundays, children in this age group have the option of competing in carnivals throughout the season.
Additional competitive costs
U11-U14 members can also choose to be part of our Junior Surf Sport Squad, which involves additional board, swim and beach training sessions run by experienced coaches from Sept - March each year.
- Coaching fee: $110
- Board allocation fee: $165
Senior Competitive Membership $150
Our senior membership includes everyone from U15 through to Masters.
Additional competitive costs
Senior competitive members can also choose to be part of our Senior Surf Sport Squad, which involves additional board, swim and beach training sessions run by experienced coaches from Sept - March each year.

- Board allocation fee: $165
- Ski allocation fee: $165
Lifeguarding Membership $35
If you're interested in being a patrolling member of the club but not a surf sport athlete then a lifeguarding membership is for you.
Your membership includes:
- Patrolling the beach as part of our lifeguarding team
- Free access to all lifeguard training courses such as first aid/advanced first aid, IRB crew/driver, intermediate/senior lifeguard and more
- Social functions and general club events
- Community nights including food truck evenings and Friday drinks
- Fundraising events at the club
- A warm shower and changing facilities after a swim when the club is open
Social Memerbship $35
If you want to support the club, use the surf club facilities and be included in social events then this is the membership for you.
Our social membership is perfect for parents, extended family and community members who are interested in:
- Social functions and general club events
- Community nights including food truck evenings and Friday drinks
- A warm shower and changing facilities after a swim when the club is open
- Fundraising events at the club
