Senior Pre Season Events Wrap up

Quail Island Preseason

Quail Island Preseason event got the racing underway for the seniors this season, involving a paddle to tbe back of Quail Island.  Running shoes on, and a cross country run around the island, before jumping back on their craft to paddle home to Lyttleton.  

Athletes raced either on ski or board and the conditions for the day were perfect, almost glassy calm and a great turn out

Causeway Classic Preseason

The Causeway classic is held in the estuary, racing from Redcliffs, up to Christchurch Yacht Club, and back down the estuary to Mount Pleasant.  Those athletes that could get a nice line and have the tide worked for them did better off, and another beaut morning for it

Taylors to Sumner Preseason

Final pre-season has been run for many years and is an 3.5k paddle from Taylors Mistake to Sumner Beach
The wind held off and the surf was pretty small so athletes had to grind their way around the point and back into Sumner
