Top Lifeguard Awards go to Jorgensen siblings

Markus Jorgensen - Lifeguard of the Year

This person has racked up a staggering 133hrs of patrol on top of their paid Lifeguarding hours. This person has gained their SLA Instructors award, coaches junior surf, event safety’s at carnivals and helps new guards to up skill without needing to be asked. This person picked up a new responsibility this year of allocating and overseeing the Patrol Roster and has done an amazing job. As always this person goes above and beyond what is expected. This person continues to showcase their bright future and is a pleasure to have around the club.

The 2024/25 LG of the year goes to Markus Jorgensen.

Rhys Jorgensen  - U19 Emerging LG of the Year

This person in his second year of Lifeguarding is already showing that they put 100% into everything. They have gained their Sirf first aid, radio communications module, crew person award, board rescue module, rock rescue module and gained their Internediate Lifeguard Award. On top of all of their Lifeguarding this person also helps coach Junior Surf, event guards and helps out at Junior Carnivals. This person fulfils all of these roles with a smile.

Emerging LG of the year for the 2024/25 season goes to Rhys Jorgensen.
